    Dec 31, 2015· The problem is that the concrete slab settled and is pitch in. Its about an inch out, i would like to cut and chip the slab in front of the door and then skim coat it. But since it is exterior I’m worried about it blowing apart. I was wondering if anyone has tried grinding down that much concrete.

I have an old Ryobi angle grinder but wondering if variable speed would be good to control the grinding and the dust collection. The Makita has a bit more power too.

I corrected a 10' section in less than 1/2hr so it isn't that big of a task but my B&D grinder is more of a sander / polisher. I have used the B&D for leveling un even concrete slab lips < 1/2".
